Campaign design to celebrate a community through type.

(D&AD New Blood Awards 2019 - Monotype Brief)

A language of codes, lovingly hand painted on metal lunch boxes, makes a humble, semi-literate community from Mumbai, the largest human supply chain in the world. This professional community of Dabbawalas is human at every touchpoint. It ensures less than one in a million error rate while they collect-deliver-return 2,00,000 dabbas (lunch boxes) daily between home kitchens and workplaces. Supplementary to the popular narratives which celebrate the logistical efficiency of the community, this project celebrates the community for the idea that they don’t just deliver food, but a lot more!
